Door canopies to complete two new housing developments

We have been supplying GRP door and window canopies to housebuilders and developers for more than 25 years. Our product range means housebuilders can select the ideal door canopy for their project, and colour match it to the property’s fixtures.

Here are two projects completed with door canopies:

Barton Lane Housing

We were specified by Watson Homes for Viva Housing Association to manufacture GRP door canopies for 48 new apartments in Manchester. The apartments were being developed in the Eccles area of Manchester to provide affordable rental opportunities.

Watson Homes asked us to provide a quality, bespoke product at an affordable price for the housing association. We surveyed the site and measured up for door canopies to cover the double patio doors of each property.

Royale canopies in anthracite grey

The chosen product was our Royale canopy in anthracite grey. We manufactured the canopies and the main contractor installed them on site. The GRP door canopies are built to provide lasting protection for the new residents and come with a 10-year guarantee for peace of mind.

Rectory Gardens Housing

This housing development in Wigan by Stonebridge required doorway shelter to complete the exterior of the new build homes. We were specified by architect PHD Design to manufacture and install 10 door canopies in keeping with the style and finish of the properties.

The client wanted sleek, contemporary facades. Our task was to create door canopies that matched the colour used for the UPVC windows and doors. The canopy product used was our Mayfield canopy in anthracite grey in RAL colour 7016, achieving the right finish.

Accurate sizing for a flush finish

Some of the plots were flush on both sides so it was important the sizes were accurate for the canopies to fit. We surveyed the site in detail and provided spec drawings for the client. We worked from this information to accurately manufacture the canopies at our factory.

We manufactured and fitted the 10 Mayfield canopies for the homes to complete the facades. The colours match perfectly with the doors and windows and add to the sleek, contemporary finish.
