Pick of the best: 3 of our most favourite hospitality canopies

All of the hospitality canopies we work on are special to us, mainly because of the sheer effort, commitment and determination we put into getting them 100% right.

No two installations are ever the same; one day, we’re at a bar, the next, we’re working on a hotel terrace, there really is no limit to how or where hospitality canopies can be used.

However, there are some projects that stick in our mind more than others, mainly because they’re just that little bit different or because they really highlight the benefits hospitality canopies can bring to pub, bar, hotel and restaurant managers and owners.

With that in mind, we’re going to turn our attention to three hospitality projects in particular – one of which proved the sky really is the limit, and the other two, just how much of an immediately valuable investment outdoor canopies can be to the hospitality industry.

Project pick 1: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, Tower of London

Now this project was a little bit different to our usual hospitality installations, as we had to install one of our Cantabria canopies 12 floors up on the roof! Plus, the system had to incorporate six retractable roofs that open and close independently of each other.

Having this canopy in place means the hotel can entertain guests at its exclusive Savage Garden bar without having to worry about any of its functions being hampered by the weather.

Project pick 2: The Garrack Hotel & Restaurant, St Ives

The terrace area next to the hotel’s leisure complex had historically never really been used by guests. Essentially, it was wasted space that the manager wanted to put to good use.

Since installing one of our Cantabria canopies, the empty terrace has been transformed into a popular spot that’s used day and night. In fact, it’s so popular, that the hotel is serving more food and drink out on the terrace than in their main restaurant.

Project pick 3: Alec’s Restaurant Bar & Grill, Essex

Alec’s is a hugely popular venue that’s always full to capacity, which was frustrating for the manager, who wanted to be able to cater for more guests.

We installed one of our Cantabria canopies out on the terrace balcony area. This space is really popular with guests and has really given the venue the added wow factor. It’s also enabled the manager to really capitalise on his terrace space all-year-round.
